In a shocking case from Uttar Pradesh, 42-year-old Alka Devi hired a hitman to kill her daughter due to her disapproval of the girl’s love affair. However, in an unexpected turn of events, the hitman, identified as Subhash, turned out to be the daughter’s lover. He murdered Alka in exchange for a marriage proposal.
The incident came to light on October 6, when Alka’s lifeless body was discovered in a millet field under the jurisdiction of the Jasrathpur police station in Etah district.

On October 5, Alka had traveled to Etah to handle a legal matter. When she failed to return home by late evening, her husband Ramakant grew concerned and tried reaching her on her mobile phone, only to find it switched off. After searching for her without success, he received a call from the police on Sunday evening, asking him to identify a deceased body.
Following the identification, Alka’s body was sent for a postmortem examination. Ramakant subsequently filed a case against two men from their village, Akhilesh and Aniket, at the Jasrathpur police station.
