Online food delivery platform Swiggy introduced the ‘Swiggy Seal’ initiative on Wednesday, aimed at raising food hygiene and quality standards among its restaurant partners. The initiative, currently live in Pune, will gradually be expanded throughout November to cover over 650 cities across India.
Swiggy stated, “Since the program’s launch, restaurant partners have shown high interest, with hundreds of requests for hygiene audits already received. If any concerns arise about a restaurant holding the Seal, Swiggy will thoroughly review the feedback and may revoke the badge if the restaurant fails to maintain the set standards.”
Under this initiative, the ‘Swiggy Seal’ badge will be displayed on restaurant menu pages, highlighting establishments that have a proven track record of maintaining hygiene, high-quality meals, and proper packaging.
