A 14-year-old girl and a 21-year-old woman sustained serious injuries after being struck by a speeding car allegedly driven by a 17-year-old in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. The incident occurred on Monday as they were creating rangolis outside their homes, just ahead of the Diwali festival.
The shocking event was captured on CCTV footage, which shows the victims engaged in their activity when the car suddenly veers off course, crashing into them and subsequently colliding with several parked two-wheelers. Just moments before the crash, the vehicle nearly hit a woman walking nearby.
Authorities have detained the teenage driver in connection with the incident. One of the victims is reported to be in critical condition.
