In a statement that raised eyebrows, senior Samajwadi Party leader Dimple Yadav clarified that her party is not aligning with either the George Soros issue or the Adani issue. She emphasized that the Samajwadi Party’s priority is to ensure a functioning Parliament. Her remarks came amid a deadlock in Parliament, where repeated disruptions and adjournments have been taking place due to ongoing clashes between the Congress and BJP over alleged connections between Sonia Gandhi and George Soros, as well as the United States’ indictment of Adani Energy.
Dimple Yadav urged all political parties to focus on the smooth functioning of both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, which have been frequently disrupted this session. She stated, “We are neither with the Soros issue nor with the Adani issue. We believe the House should run, and we hope people from both sides will show dedication towards functioning of the House.”
She also highlighted that there would be a discussion on the Constitution on Friday and Saturday, and reiterated the Samajwadi Party’s commitment to ensuring the Parliament functions properly.
