On Friday, Salman Khan allegedly received threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, who demanded ₹5 crore to “end the enmity.” While hosting the reality show Bigg Boss, the actor made a light-hearted reference to the troubling situation he is facing.
The gang reportedly sent a WhatsApp message to the Mumbai Traffic Police, warning that if the money was not paid, Salman Khan’s fate could be worse than that of former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique, who was recently murdered, allegedly by members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
During the episode, Salman Khan remarked, “Yaar, kasam khuda ki, what all I am going through in my life and I have to handle this,” hinting at the ongoing threats while also addressing the drama among the show’s contestants. His comment drew parallels between managing the show and navigating the current threats he is facing.
In response to the threats, the Mumbai Police have arrested several individuals believed to be linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, who were allegedly involved in plotting to kill Salman Khan. Police sources revealed that one of the arrested suspects had been in contact with a handler based in Pakistan to plan the attack, which was said to involve firearms such as AK series assault rifles smuggled from the neighboring country.
