Bhopal: A newborn baby girl discovered in a sack in the Aishbagh area of Bhopal on Wednesday morning tragically passed away during treatment on Thursday, according to police officials.
Locals spotted the baby and promptly notified the police. Upon receiving the alert, authorities rushed to the scene and transported the infant to the hospital.
According to police reports, a CCTV footage of the incident has emerged, showing a woman arriving on a scooter with a sack and leaving after placing it down. The woman, identified as Firdosh Khan (40), a nurse residing in Aishbagh, has been apprehended.
“On Wednesday morning, local residents found a newborn baby girl in the Aishbagh area and immediately contacted the police. Upon arrival, the officers discovered the baby girl alive and rushed her to the hospital. The CCTV footage shows a 40-year-old woman carrying the baby in a sack on a scooter. She has been identified as Firdosh Khan, a resident of Aishbagh, and has been taken into custody,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP, Zone 1) Priyanka Shukla, as reported to ANI.
