In a significant move, Mathura’s Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shailesh Pandey has suspended three police personnel following the circulation of a video featuring Yogesh, a sharpshooter affiliated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. In the video, which went viral, Yogesh was seen addressing local media while in police custody at the Refinery police station.
In his statement, Yogesh claimed that his encounter in Mathura was staged and discussed the recent murder of NCP leader Baba Siddiqui, who was shot dead in Mumbai.
As a result of this incident, SSP Pandey has suspended Sub-Inspector Ramsanehi, Head Constable Vipin, and Constable Sanjay, all stationed at the Refinery police station.
Yogesh, who is implicated in a murder case in Delhi, was arrested by the Delhi Special Cell in collaboration with Mathura Police during a joint operation on Thursday.
