Man Arrested in Bihar for Killing Wife, Body Found in Drain
A man, Mohammed Nasim (39), has been arrested in Muzaffarpur, Bihar, for allegedly murdering his wife, Rumesh Khatun (22), in Bengaluru. The decomposed body of Khatun was discovered in a drain on November 11 in the Sarjapur area. Nasim, a painter by profession, reportedly strangled his wife following frequent quarrels and suspicions of infidelity. After the murder, he tied her body with wire and disposed of it in a drain before fleeing with his six children to Bihar.
The discovery came when locals alerted the police after noticing a foul smell. The investigation led police to trace Nasim to Muzaffarpur using mobile phone data, where he had remarried before his arrest.
