The Kulhad Pizza couple, who went viral last September after an intimate video was leaked, has approached the Jathedar of the Akal Takht Sahib, seeking guidance on whether Sehaj Arora, the man involved, is allowed to wear a turban.
The controversy surrounding Sehaj Arora’s turban arose after a group of Nihang Sikhs, a warrior sect, demanded that the couple cease making videos or that Arora remove his turban, considering it a sign of disrespect to their religious traditions.
Sehaj Arora and Gurmeet Kaur, the couple behind Kulhad Pizza, had stepped away from social media following the leak of a doctored video. Recently, they returned to social platforms, sharing quirky food recipes from their restaurant. In a self-released video, the couple requested that the Akal Takht Sahib ensure the protection of them and their family. They also said they would submit a letter to the Jathedar sahib of the organisation and ask for him to decide whether Sehaj Arora could keep his turban.
