HMPV Already In Circulation, Including In India
Amid the rising human virus. HMPV scale. The top medical body, the Indian Council of medical research or ICMR on Monday alerted the virus is already in circulation globally, including India.
The ICMR statement came as Bangalore reported two cases of HMP, a three month old baby, who has been discharged and an eight month old baby who is recovering.
The department ruled out exposure from other regions or country saying that the infected infant and the family have no recent travel history , both cases were identified through route and surveillance for multiple respiratory viral pathogens.
It it it emphasise that HMPV is already in circulation global including in India and the cases of respiratory illness associated with HMP have been reported in various countries further more based on the current data from ICMR and integrated disease bill program,
It is also noted that while the union health, Ministry is monitoring the situation through available surveillance channel, ICMR will continue to track trends in HMPV circulation throughout the year
