In a shocking turn of events, a property dealer from Ghaziabad, Sanjay Yadav, whose charred body was discovered in a burning Toyota Fortuner SUV, was not killed by the fire but was strangled to death by his friends. According to the police, Yadav was murdered by his two friends, Vishal Rajput and Jeet Choudhary, using a dog leash after a beer party.
The police have arrested both accused, recovering stolen cash, two gold rings, a bracelet, and a gold chain, along with the dog collar used in the crime. The investigation revealed that after killing Yadav, the two men placed his body in the SUV and set it on fire in a forested area in Dadri. The burned vehicle and Yadav’s remains were found on Monday night.
Yadav’s family had reported that he went to meet Vishal and Jeet, and had suspicions about their involvement in his disappearance. The police acted swiftly, and during interrogation, both Vishal and Jeet confessed to the crime. They admitted to choking Yadav to death, looting his jewelry, and then setting the SUV on fire. One of the accused, Jeet, sustained minor burns while attempting to destroy evidence.
