After a 14-year hiatus, an international T20 cricket match between India and Bangladesh is scheduled to be held in Gwalior. However, the Bajrang Dal has now joined the Hindu Mahasabha and other Hindu organizations in protesting against the match. Bajrang Dal’s national convener, Neeraj Dauneriya, arrived in Gwalior and expressed his strong disapproval, citing recent atrocities against Hindus in Bangladesh.
Dauneriya stated, “This cricket match is being played at a time when brutal and heinous crimes have been committed against Hindus across Bangladesh. Bodies of Hindus were hung for days, which the world witnessed, and many sisters were abducted and subjected to gang rape. Such barbarity has not been seen anywhere else in the world as it has been in Bangladesh.”
He went on to explain that the Indian public is deeply hurt by this match taking place while such atrocities are ongoing in Bangladesh. The issue has sparked widespread discussions on social media and television debates, where many voiced that the match should be canceled. Bajrang Dal is calling for the match to be canceled, arguing that it deeply wounds the sentiments of millions of Hindus. Dauneriya mentioned that Bajrang Dal had also protested a recent match in Kanpur, and they intend to continue opposing such events until the India-Bangladesh match is boycotted and canceled.
Dauneriya drew a parallel between Pakistan’s ongoing terrorism and the never-ending cricket matches with them, saying, “Pakistan has always betrayed India, and now Bangladesh is imposing restrictions on Durga Puja, demanding extortion from pandals. At a time when Hindus are facing such barbarity in Bangladesh, organizing a match here in India is like attacking the sentiments of millions of Indians.”
When asked about the protest strategy, Dauneriya said, “The plan is being outlined, and we will reveal the strategy in due time. The protest will be strong, and we will ensure that the match is boycotted and eventually canceled.”
Tirupati Temple Prasad Scandal: Bajrang Dal’s National Convener Expresses Concern
In addition to the cricket controversy, Neeraj Dauneriya also raised objections regarding the alleged adulteration in the prasad at the famous Tirupati Temple. He criticized the previous administration for awarding the prasad contract to Muslim-owned companies, alleging that non-vegetarian ingredients like beef fat, fish oil, and chicken products were found in the prasad. Dauneriya emphasized the deep spiritual significance of the Tirupati Balaji Temple for Hindus and how the alleged adulteration had deeply hurt the sentiments of millions of devotees.
He called for the arrest of those involved, including previous government officials, to ensure a fair investigation without interference. He also highlighted the need for stringent action to prevent such occurrences in the future, emphasizing the importance of safeguarding the sanctity of Hindu religious institutions.
