In one of her popular Instagram videos, Bree highlights the significant differences she’s noticed. “In Australia, flirting often involves playful banter that can come off as teasing,” she explained. “Here in India, people are incredibly friendly, and things escalate quickly! At a recent party, a guy unexpectedly took my hand while flirting—something that would be quite rare in Australia!”
Bree also attended a dating event in Mumbai, describing it as a memorable experience. “It felt a bit like a school disco,” she recalled. “For the first hour, women chatted only with other women, while the men stuck to their group. There was little mingling at first.” Despite the initial awkwardness, she found this dynamic indicative of the fact that dating may still be a relatively new experience for many in India.
