In a shocking incident in Andhra Pradesh’s West Godavari district, a woman was horrified to find the body of an unidentified man inside a parcel she received at her home. The parcel, which was meant to contain electrical appliances for her house construction, instead contained a dead body along with a chilling letter demanding ₹1.3 crore.
The incident occurred in Yendagandi village, Undi mandal, where Naga Tulsi, a woman seeking financial aid for house construction, had approached the Kshatriya Seva Samithi. After receiving tiles as part of the initial help, she had requested further assistance, particularly in the form of electrical appliances like lights, fans, and switches. She had also received a WhatsApp message confirming the delivery of these items.
On Thursday night, a person delivered a box to Tulsi’s doorstep, informing her that it contained the promised appliances. However, upon opening the parcel, Tulsi was horrified to discover a man’s body inside. The family immediately alerted the police, who rushed to the scene. The body was shifted to a government hospital for an autopsy.
Upon further inspection, police found a letter inside the parcel demanding ₹1.3 crore, with a threatening warning of serious consequences if the amount was not paid. The police have registered a case and launched an investigation to determine the identity of the deceased person and the origin of the package. They have also started questioning representatives of the Kshatriya Seva Samithi, who had reportedly sent the appliances.
The body, believed to belong to a man around 45 years old, was reportedly dead for 4-5 days before being delivered. Investigators are focusing on determining whether the man was murdered, and are cross-checking missing person reports from nearby areas as part of their inquiry.
The case has shocked the local community, and the police are working diligently to unravel the mystery behind this macabre delivery and the extortion threat linked to it.
