Yogi Adityanath hails Nitish Kumar's leadership, says Bihar will once again 'shine under LED light' under NDA rule
East Champaran (Bihar) [India], November 22 (HBTV): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath praised Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s leadership over the past two decades and expressed confidence that the National Democratic Alliance would return to power after the ongoing Bihar Assembly elections. At press time, the BJP and its allies, including Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's JD(U), have formed the government.
Speaking at a rally in East Champaran, CM Yogi said, ‘In the last 20 years, under Nitish Babu’s leadership, whatever is visible in Bihar today is the form of a new Bihar on which the foundation stone of a prosperous and developed Bihar rests… Today, Bihar has everything it deserves… Bihar has roads, electricity, airports, AIIMS…’
He also pointed to the strong voter turnout in the first phase of polling and criticised the Mahagathbandhan, remarking that voters had made it clear that ‘no criminal will be able to commit crimes in the dim light of the lantern anymore’.
At another rally in Motihari, CM Yogi reiterated his belief that the NDA would form the next government in the state. He said Bihar would once again ‘shine under the LED light’ under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
‘The Bihar Assembly elections are currently underway. The first phase of polling was completed on November 6. In this phase, the people of Bihar have made it clear through the emerging trends that no one will be able to commit crimes in the dim light of the lantern anymore,’ he said.
‘Under the guidance of Prime Minister Modi and the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, when the results are announced on November 14, the state will once again witness an NDA government shining under the LED light,’ he added.
CM Yogi also criticised the Congress and the Rashtriya Janata Dal, saying they were equally responsible for the decline in literacy and development in Bihar.
He said Bihar, a land with a rich history — home to Nalanda University and the place where Lord Buddha attained enlightenment — had ‘fallen behind in literacy’, adding that ‘the blame for this downfall lies equally with the Congress and the RJD’. (ANI)
