In a significant relief for individuals facing demolition notices for illegal structures along the Kundasar-Mahasi-Nanpara-Maharajganj road in Bahraich, the Allahabad High Court has extended the deadline to file their responses by 15 days. The Lucknow bench, comprising Justices A R Masoodi and Subhash Vidyarthi, directed the affected parties to submit their replies within this period and instructed state authorities to review these submissions and provide a well-reasoned order accordingly.
The court set the next hearing date for October 23. This order came in response to a public interest litigation (PIL) filed by the Association for Protection of Civil Rights.
