Bhaskar, the husband of Revathi, who tragically lost her life during a stampede at a Hyderabad theatre during the premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rule, shared his immense grief. He revealed that the family had attended the screening primarily because their nine-year-old son, Sri Teja, is a huge fan of actor Allu Arjun. Sadly, Sri Teja, who was also injured in the stampede, is now in the hospital due to asphyxiation.
The tragic incident occurred when a large crowd gathered at Sandhya Theatre to catch a glimpse of Allu Arjun and music director Devi Sri Prasad. As the crowd surged forward, the theatre’s main gate collapsed, leading to chaos and a stampede. Despite attempts to control the situation, the stampede resulted in fatalities, with Revathi and Sri Teja suffocating. While Sri Teja regained consciousness after CPR, Revathi died at the hospital. Their seven-year-old daughter also sustained injuries.
Bhaskar expressed his heartbreak, saying, “I cannot bear the loss of my wife,” as he continued to pray for the recovery of his son.
