30 Injured, 10 Critical After Bus Crashes
A tragic accident occurred on Thursday morning in Rajasthan’s Dausa district when a sleeper bus carrying 45 passengers collided with a truck on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. The crash left 30 people injured, with at least 10 in critical condition. The bus was en route from Ujjain to Delhi when dense fog led to poor visibility, causing the accident near pillar number 198, close to Ladli Ka Bans village.
The impact was severe, shattering the front portion of the bus, especially around the driver’s seat. Visuals from the site reveal significant damage, highlighting the force of the collision. Emergency services promptly responded, and the injured were taken to nearby hospitals. Those critically injured were transferred to Jaipur for advanced medical care. Most of the passengers were residents of Delhi, with others from Sonipat and Kota.
Deputy SP Charul Gupta confirmed the cause of the accident, emphasizing the role of heavy fog in reducing visibility. This incident underscores the dangers of traveling during low-visibility conditions, especially on high-speed expressways.
The accident follows a recent tragedy in Rajasthan last month when an LPG tanker collided with a truck on the Jaipur-Ajmer highway, causing a massive fire. The explosion claimed 19 lives and left several others critically injured, turning the area into an inferno that consumed nearby vehicles.
These incidents highlight the need for enhanced road safety measures, stricter enforcement of speed limits, and increased awareness regarding driving in adverse weather conditions.
